Grange-over-sands is a lovely pristine town. The centre has everything you would expect in a Cumbrian town. There are some lovely walks whether that be Hampsfell, up on the fells, woodland walks or down into Grange-Over-Sands it is definitely a place for those that love peace and tranquility. You can take a walk on the promanade a level walkway along the edge of Morecambe Bay , with it’s beautiful gardens amazing wildlife and stunning views across the bay. Grange-over -sands as has many cafes and beautiful hotels you can go to relax and also enjoy the scenery at the same time. In the summer months visit the Recreation Ground to play tennis or putting or table tennis, Crazy Golf, skate park and children’s playground too. One of the oldest places with beautiful architectural buildings with stunning views is Cumbria Grand Hotel it is a beautiful old hotel set in its own grounds with stunning views over Morecambe bay and the Lakeland hills.

Grange-over-sands has 51 listed buildings in the town Grange over Sands has a rich history of transformation. Located on the north side of Morecambe Bay, the small fishing village began to grow in popularity after the arrival of the railway in 1857. After the turn of the 1900s, a promenade was developed that further boosted its appeal as a popular seaside resort. From 1930-1939, Grange over Sands saw even more development when 180 open-air pools were constructed throughout Britain. Grange over Sands Lido, accessed off the promenade, was built in 1932 by Council Surveyor Bernard Smith. The addition of this outdoor pool furthered Grange over Sands’ reputation as an idyllic vacation destination. Today, visitors can still enjoy the Lido and promenade at Grange over Sands while they take in stunning views of Morecambe Bay and learn about its rich history. The combination of traditional British seaside attractions and vibrant modern culture make it a must-visit for those who love coastal escapes!
